Soft hook with ptt - Pama earbud and mic with push to answer mobile phone manufacturers have been giving out earpieces with phones for years now and they are a handy handsfree system however they tend to be very basic and liable to break. The pama earbud and mic system i was given to test compared very favourably against the out of the box earpiece that came with my phone. The wire is still quite lightweight but the sound quality of the tested model was a vast improvement. The other notable improvement on the standard boxed earpiece was the push to answer button on the microphone module this meant i could answer my call without having to fiddle around in my pocket finding the correct button on the phone. One small thing to note is that you should consult your user manual to check functionality of ptt switches as on some handsets this may act as a mute button not as a push to answer. Recent changes to the penalty for driving and using a handheld mobile phone have meant that picking up the phone to tell someone you re driving and you ll call them back could result in 3 points on your licence and a 60 fine. A handsfree system for your phone is essential and if you are on a budget this could be the one for you. Summary an improvement on the basic earpieces that come free with your phone and a very small price with the added convenience of a push to answer button. A necessity if you want to take a phone call when driving if you don t have another handsfree system. |
